Hunch asks you to guess what people actually said. Every answer is a real count from Conveo Foundations interviews, never an estimate.

What is Hunch?

Hunch is a daily guessing game about people. Every question comes from Conveo Foundations: always-on research programs where an AI interviewer talks with thousands of real people on video, in six countries, every two weeks.

Each day you get three questions. Guess what share of people said it, then see the real number and exactly where it came from. Nothing is estimated, rounded for effect or made up.

How a number gets onto the board

  1. People answer on video

    Foundations programs interview a fresh group of adults every two weeks in the US, UK, Brazil, France, India and Germany. An AI interviewer asks the questions; people answer in their own words or pick an option.

  2. Answers get counted

    Multiple-choice picks are counted directly. Open answers are coded into themes by the study's analysis. Conveo's analysis assistant (Talk to Your Data) then counts a finding against everyone who was asked and returns the count, the base and the clips behind it.

  3. The count becomes a question

    Each reveal shows that count, who was asked, the date it was computed and the analysis id. With Conveo access you can open the same conversation and see the table and the clips. Without it, the program page shows the latest wave reports.

Numbers are refreshed when a new wave lands; each proof shows the date its figure was computed. The bank holds 27 questions today.

Are these numbers real?

Yes. Each answer is a count of coded interview answers from a Conveo Foundations program, computed in a Conveo analysis session. The reveal shows the count, who was asked, the date it was computed and the analysis id, so anyone with access can check it.

Who was asked?

Adults in the US, UK, Brazil, France, India and Germany taking part in a Foundations program. The AI questions come from a sample of AI users (95% had used ChatGPT in the previous three months), which is why those questions say “AI users”.

How does scoring work?

Your score is the total number of percentage points you were off across the three questions. Lower is better and zero is perfect. A guess within 5 points shows green, within 12 yellow.

Where are my results saved?

Only in this browser. There are no accounts and nothing about your guesses is sent anywhere.

What is Conveo?

Conveo runs AI-moderated video interviews for researchers. Foundations is its set of always-on programs on health, household money and AI, with fresh interviews every two weeks.

Hunch borrows its format from the daily estimation game fermi.gg. Fermi asks about the world; Hunch asks about people.
